Huddled in a hallway,
in a corner of an old two story house.
A girl sat, knees ageinst her chest,
breathing as quietly as she could.
There was no where else to go,
she had run there.
She couldn't have turn around.
It would find her then, she new it would.
Tears streaking down her cheeks.
Crying as quietly as she could.
Staring, like a frightened deer, down that hallway.
Waiting...
She told them.
She TOLD them it was there.
That it was here, in their house.
Now the young girls' parents were dead,
and she knew it will come for her too.
She's to young and doesn't know what to do.
All she can do, is wait.
Frightened in the corner.
Breathing softly she closed her eyes and listened.
'Clack...clack...clack..'
It was faint...
and getting closer.
'Clack..clack..clack'
She tightened her eyes before opening them again to stare down the hallway.
She bit her lip trying not to cry again.
She waited...
Now at the beginning of the hallway, it stood hunched over slightly.
It's skin gray, like concrete, was stretched tightly against its humanoid figure.
Bone could be seen underneath the skin, hands, ribs, feet and spine. Almost every bone could be seen.
It's tail was trailing on the ground behind it, ending in a sharp spike.
It's feet similar to a Velociraptors'. It stood like one too, even with it's human like figure.
It's fingers where slightly longer and ended in points that looked like they had been dipped in red and black blood.
It's head was large, and it's eyes, which where a yellow orange color, took up most of it. Almost alien like shaped.
It's mouth was filled with two rows of sharp shark like teeth.
Her eyes widened at seeing the creature again.
She whimpered as tears began to leak down onto her cheeks.
It crept closer to her, it's clawed feet making the 'Clack, clack, clack' noise she had heard from before.
A scream stuck in her throat.
She wasn't going to let it out. Not that she could at this point.
She watched the thing, not taking her eyes off of it.
Her eyes where begging for it to spare her.
But this thing wasn't human, and wouldn't let her go.
She knew somewhere inside her that that was true.
But she still clung to the hope that it would, like someone would cling to a lost dream.
It stood above her now and leaned down.
She whimpered, shaking her head, and the tears now streamed down her face.
It's face in front of hers, she could smell it's breath.
It was death and decay.
It was burned flesh and blood
Then it opened it's mouth and let out an ungodly abyssal screech, that sounded like nothing the girl had ever heard of before.
Some of it's saliva had spewed onto her face, it was tinted green.
Then it's snake like tongue licked her cheek as if tasting to make sure she was ripe enough.
It straitened up completely to it's full height and it's tail began to swish back and forth like a cat. Over, and over, and over again.
Then after that it raised it's tail and poised it near the side of it's head. The sharp tip pointing towards the girl.
In an instant, it darted for her.
Her eyes widened and the scream she had held in finally escaped her lips as the tails' end penetrated her chest.
The girl sat frozen in shock and fear.
The creature the jerked it's tail out from her chest and stood back watching her.
She could barely breathe, she couldn't....
But then nothing mattered.
She didn't care that she couldn't breath
She just wanted to rest.
Her vision started to go fuzzy.
The creature and the walls, the floor. Everything started to mesh until they where all just blurs of color.
Her eyes where heavy and were half way closed as she still struggled to breathe.
The creature took another step forward and again stabbed her with it's sharp tail.
Pain shot through for a second time but this time when the creature jerked it's tail out she fell limply to the floor.
Her blood pooling out onto the dark dark wooden floorboards.
The creature leaned over her and began tearing away chunks of flesh then devouring them whole...

Now you know her story...
Maybe you'll listen to your child when they tell you there is a monster in their closet.
Alright, I love, love LOVE this piece. It came out beautifully in my opinion. Also...The monster, well, that was the monster that *I* was personally terrified of as a child. You can see why. :XD: Anyway, I love think I did awesome, but make your own opinion. 'Kay? ;)

This is *very* scary. I'm curious where this creature came from, or how you came to be afraid of it when you were little (i.e. was it something out of a book or movie, or was it just something out of your imagination)?
